河川が豊富な日本、小規模水力発電建設へ

企業と自治体が連携し、中小河川や農業用水を利用した小規模水力発電所を建設する。野村ホールディングスは栃木県と、三井金属は岐阜県と検討を始めた。河川が豊富な日本では小水力発電所の開発余地は大きい。来年からの再生可能エネルギーの全量買い取り制度の開始を控え、自治体が普及の壁になっている水利権の手続きを簡素化する特区を申請、企業の早期事業化を後押しする。日経より。

丸紅、インドで投資拡大

丸紅はインドで運営に参画する発電所を拡張する。２０１５年をめどに発電能力を現状の約4倍に引き上げる。拡張に必要な総投資額は４５４億ルピー（約６９０億円）。インドでは電力不足が続いており今後も製造業の拡大などで電力需給は逼迫する見通し。日本政府による鉄道や発電所建設などインドのインフラ整備への融資も計画されており、丸紅は今後も新規発電所の運営参画を目指す。

拡張するのはインド南部タミルナドゥ州の工業団地が集積するチェンナイから南に３００キロメートルに位置するガス火力発電所。新たに発電設備を３基設置し、最大１４３万キロワットの発電能力に引き上げる。日経より。
