CLOUDY BAYの響き

ニュージーランドのワインにCLOUDY BAYというワインがあるのですが、このワインの良さと言えば、CLOUDY BAYというワインの名前の響きとしか言いようがない。ワインの性質を名前だけで完全に体現している気がしてならない。もちろん味も申し分なく、またラベルが心にジッとくる。

中国のコーヒー拠点、雲南省

中国でワイン、コーヒーなど欧米の飲料のメーカーが、買収・増産による供給能力の拡大を急いでいる。経済成長に伴い、一般家庭でも食卓で海外の飲料を楽しむ余裕が出てきたためだ。現時点では１人当たりの消費量は世界平均に比べ格段に低く、市場が拡大する余地は大きい。

コーヒー文化も都市部で浸透してきた。コーヒー製造最大手の後谷珈琲（雲南省）は４億６３００万元を投じ、雲南省に国内最大のインスタントコーヒー製造ラインを完成させた。年間１万トン以上を生産する。国際コーヒー機関（IOC、本部ロンドン）によると、中国のコーヒー消費量は年率１５％で増加。世界平均の２％を大きく上回っている。

ニュージーランドの乳牛最大手のフォンテラは７月、河北省で中国３カ所目の農場に着工した。投資額は２億６千万元。中国での牛乳生産能力は４５％増え、年間９千万リットルとなる。日経より。

ニュージーランド消費者物価、0.4％上昇

ニュージーランド統計局が発表した2011年7〜9月期の消費者物価指数は前期比0.4％上昇した。4〜6月期（1.0％上昇）から大幅に減速し、市場予想の0.7％上昇も下回った。前年同期比は4.6％上昇で、21年ぶりの水準だった前の期（5.3％上昇）の物価上昇圧力は和らいだ形だ。日経より。

日本貿易保険が、ニュージーランドドル建ての融資に保険を付けるのは初めてらしい。日本貿易保険は今年の４月からドルやユーロに加えて、英ポンドなど１８通貨に対して契約時より円安に振れた際のリスクを負担する取引を始め、そしてニュージーランドドルが１号案件となった。
