期待はずれの高級ホテル出店攻勢

高級ホテルの建設ラッシュが続く中国で、供給が需要を上回り、稼働率や客室単価に陰りが見え始めた。今年１〜９月の平均客室稼働率は６０．９％で、アジア主要１５カ国・地域の中で１４位と低迷した。欧米のホテルチェーンは中国を最大の成長市場と位置付け、今後３〜５年で施設数を倍増させる方針だが、収益が低迷するケースも出てきそうだ。
